YOURmeds has been taking part in Kickstart Scheme, an economic recovery programme launched by the Government creating high quality jobs for 16 to 24-year-olds, who are at risk of long-term unemployment. We joined the scheme as were passionate about giving younger people the opportunity to gain vital work experience and expand their skillset.

Joe and Murphy are the focus in this month’s meet the team post and they are both from the Kickstart scheme and have been a part of the YOURmeds team for just over 4 months now. 

Meet Joe:

Joe is an IT Support Assistant at YOURmeds and mostly works behind the scenes, helping to maintain and update both what the customer sees, like the website and the backend elements that keep everything running smoothly.

Currently, Joe is learning his way around everything, picking up on the skills to make this happen.

Born in Gloucestershire, Joe is 20 years old and has lived all over the UK, from the sunny skies of Gibraltar to the breezy hills of Scotland but has spent the past decade living in Hampshire.

A self-described nerd, Joe has a love for a variety of hobbies, ranging from video games to comics and novels, with a particular love for science fiction and fantasy. Joe’s favourite music genres are Rock, Ska and Jazz. He has been enthusiastic about tech since he was young and would borrow his parents’ computer as often as he could.                  

Joe is inspired by people who can think outside of the box and use creative and unusual thinking to achieve goals and push boundaries. He aspires to use that kind of thinking in his own life.

Motivated by wanting to please others and a desire to constantly improve and learn, Joe contributes to the YOURmeds customer experience by helping to ensure that your interactions with the company and our software are as smooth as possible!

Meet Murphy:

Murphy is an IT and Production Assistant and his role at YOURmeds includes:

Helping manage and maintain the company’s database.

Getting user’s information to add to the database so that he can make a report to pass on to our finance department.

Fulfilling orders passed on from the finance team.

Stock counts to report to finance.

Murphy is a 24-year-old, born in Lagos Nigeria. He previously lived in Bristol before moving to Portsmouth.

Murphy enjoys playing football and table tennis, he also enjoys travelling and his time at church.

Like Ryan  Murphy is a big Liverpool fan, enjoying watching and discussing football with his friends.

What inspires Murphy is the work being done by every member of the YOURmeds team. Murphy loves the work that the company does, simplifying medication management, and helping people to take the right medication at the right time.

He contributes to the customer experience at YOURmeds by ensuring that the right product gets to the right user. Ensuring that each product is packaged properly, sealed, and gets them sent out for delivery.
